Turn page evidence into reviewed improvements
CiteTrack inspects the rendered public page, separates confirmed failures from optional observations, and turns only supported findings into reviewable WordPress work. Apply compatible improvements, verify the live page and measure later outcomes without pretending a crawler visit or an edit guarantees a citation.
See the evidence, the assigned task and the verification workflow
Watch the workflow, then inspect the current task queue, task evidence and the buyer questions that produced the finding.
See the rendered-page evidence before you change the page
Choose a content type, scan in the background, compare Citability, AEO and GEO, then open one page for its exact checks and next steps.
Optimize
Make every page citation-ready. Scores refresh on publish, update or demand.
Choose a page to inspect and apply its SEO, AEO and GEO improvements. Tasks keeps assignment and follow-up in one queue.
Where SEO improvements will be saved
CiteTrack checks the active metadata owner before it offers Apply.
Citability - Pages
Checks use the rendered public page and the correct profile for this content type.See what this page failed before you rewrite it.
Find a missing description, conflicting canonical, wrong schema type, broken internal link or specific image without alt text. Content observations such as a missing direct answer remain optional unless independent Search Console evidence supports a review.
Diagnose
Inspect rendered-page evidence: schema, headings, metadata, external links, question structure and page-specific content gaps.
Draft
Generate a fix guide, title, description, canonical, internal link, alt text or content improvement based on the exact issue.
Verify
Run Check again now and see Passed, Still failing or Could not verify, with the task history preserved.
A score finds the page. The check tells you what to fix.
Open a failed row to see the observed public-page evidence, the safest available workflow, the permanent destination and the result of a fresh verification.

Editable page-specific proposal
Track AI referrals, crawler activity, citations, conversions and revenue in one first-party WordPress analytics workspace.
See why the check failed
Inspect detected schema, question headings, external links, metadata lengths, heading counts and the specific image or page involved.
Apply only compatible changes
Edit and apply supported titles, descriptions, canonicals, internal links, image alt text and content improvements. Applied changes remain after CiteTrack is disabled.
Verify instead of assuming
Check again runs a fresh scan and reports Passed, Still failing or Could not verify. Resolved tasks close automatically and reopen if a later scan confirms the issue returned.
Three lenses for every page
Citability combines the AEO and GEO readiness scores. The detailed checklist still separates AEO, GEO and classic SEO evidence, including optional observations that do not lower the score or create work on their own.
| Page | Citability | AEO | GEO | Top finding |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI analytics | 86 | 88 | 83 | No required action |
| Pricing | 68 | 72 | 62 | Meta description missing |
| Product | 54 | 58 | 48 | Wrong schema page type |
| About | 91 | 92 | 89 | All direct checks pass |
CiteTrack re-scans a page on publish or update, on demand, or in bulk by content type.
The toolkit
AEO / GEO / SEO scores
A content-type-aware page profile separates answer structure, source and entity signals, and classic on-page checks, then shows every observed result.
Reviewed WordPress improvements
Apply supported metadata, links and media changes through their detected owner. Content additions are offered only when page evidence and measurable search demand support the review.
IndexNow re-crawl
After a fix, ping the engines to re-crawl the page so the change is picked up sooner instead of waiting for the next sweep.
Reference-page opportunities
Connect prompts with zero citations to the page or topic worth improving next, so the work begins with an observed visibility gap.
Schema and metadata ownership
Detect the live Article, WebPage, Product and FAQPage evidence and the active SEO owner before offering a supported write.
Background scans and task handoff
Re-score on publish or update, scan one page or a full content type, and send every actionable failed check to its focused task.
Fix it, then make the engines look again
Every score comes with the specific checks the page failed. Review the suggested change, apply supported improvements individually, then submit the URL through IndexNow and measure the next citation run. IndexNow requests discovery; it does not guarantee a crawl, ranking or citation.
- Direct-answer summary: an editable, page-supported answer offered when the page check and Search Console evidence justify review.
- Key takeaways: a reviewed WordPress list block; an optional observation alone never creates the task.
- Visible buyer Q&A: page-specific questions and answers, grounded in existing page facts and saved as durable page content.
- SEO metadata: supported titles and descriptions saved to the verified active SEO plugin.
- Schema: exact Article or FAQ evidence reviewed before a provider-native change is offered.
- Internal links and image descriptions: exact source/destination or Media Library items with guarded Undo.
| Issue | Action |
|---|---|
| Meta description missing | Review proposal |
| Wrong schema page type | Choose page type |
| Confirmed internal redirect | Review change |
| Public page changed | Check again now |
Runs alongside your SEO plugin
CiteTrack AI adds the AI-visibility layer around your existing SEO setup. It detects the active metadata and schema owner, shows the permanent destination before Apply, keeps exact backups for supported changes and pauses automatic writes when ownership is conflicting, read-only or unknown. Supported metadata owners include Yoast, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework, Slim SEO and IndexPulse SEO Lite.
Close the loop
Optimization is most powerful when it begins with evidence. Use citation tracking and Source Intelligence to identify measured visibility gaps, review supported page work here, request discovery when appropriate, then compare later citation runs without claiming the edit caused the outcome.
AEO / GEO FAQ
What is the difference between AEO and GEO?
AEO focuses on making answers clear and extractable, while GEO focuses on the source, entity and trust signals generative systems may use when forming an answer. CiteTrack reports both lenses, combines them in the Citability score and keeps classic SEO evidence in the detailed checklist.
What do the Citability, AEO and GEO scores mean?
Citability combines the AEO and GEO readiness scores. AEO summarizes answer-engine checks, GEO summarizes source and entity signals, and the page detail retains classic SEO evidence. Confirmed failures lower the relevant score; optional observations and checks that could not be verified do not.
What page improvements can CiteTrack apply?
CiteTrack can add reviewed direct-answer summaries, key takeaways and visible buyer Q&A as normal WordPress content. It can save supported SEO titles and meta descriptions through the verified active SEO plugin, add exact internal links, update identified Media Library image descriptions and use guarded provider-native Article or FAQ schema workflows when ownership is proven. Each supported automatic change is verified and keeps an exact Undo boundary.
What is the Safe Fix Queue?
The Safe Fix Queue groups deterministic changes that can be derived from current saved page evidence and verified after writing. You review each preview first, then up to ten selected changes run in the background. Metadata, schema, canonical intent and other choices that need judgment stay in individual workflows.
How does CiteTrack handle canonical URLs and noindex pages?
Canonical and indexability checks use the rendered public tag or response header. A canonical task asks whether to keep the current preferred URL or make this page primary. A noindex task asks whether the page should remain hidden or become searchable. Automatic changes are offered only when one writable owner is proven, with live verification, rollback and guarded Undo.
Does CiteTrack change descriptions just because they are outside a character range?
No. A meta-description task is created when the tag is missing, not simply because its length falls outside a generic range. When Search Console is connected, its real queries and a current-versus-previous 28-day comparison can inform the page-specific proposal.
Can CiteTrack fix internal and redirected links?
Yes, when it can prove an exact insertion or confirmed same-site redirect update in the current saved page. It shows the anchor text and surrounding context first, revalidates the page at click time and keeps a guarded Undo. Broken links without a verified destination remain a decision rather than a guessed replacement.
What happens when CiteTrack cannot fetch the rendered page?
The affected check is shown as Could not verify. It is not counted as a confirmed failure and does not lower the page score as though the issue had been observed.
What are reference-page opportunities?
A prioritized view connecting measured prompt gaps with pages or topics worth reviewing next. It helps focus the work, but it is not a prediction or guarantee that a page will earn a citation.
Does it conflict with Yoast or Rank Math?
No. It runs alongside them and its schema engine defers to your existing plugin to avoid duplicate markup. Your titles, meta and sitemaps are untouched unless you choose to fill a gap.
What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is an optional plain-text index of important site content intended for AI-oriented discovery. CiteTrack can generate and maintain the file, while crawler access is still controlled by normal web and robots rules and inclusion does not guarantee use or citation.
Improve, re-check and measure
Score priority pages, review specific improvements, request discovery and track whether the same prompts move from absent toward cited.
