AI analytics for the buyer journey GA4 cannot see
Your customer may ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Claude before they ever visit your site. CiteTrack AI shows the hidden path: which AI crawlers and agents read your pages, whether the answer cites you, how much share of voice you own, what the visit earns and which fix deserves attention next.

For teams that know AI is influencing demand, but cannot prove where or how.
Give founders, marketers, agencies and store owners enough evidence to decide what deserves attention, assign the work and see whether it paid off.
Founders and marketers
See whether AI sends demand, hides it under Direct, or recommends a competitor before your site gets a chance to convert.
E-commerce teams
Connect AI-referred sessions to WooCommerce or EDD orders instead of guessing whether answer visibility produces sales.
Agencies
Report crawler access, citations, share of voice, tasks and revenue without paying for another hosted SaaS seat stack.
Reputation-sensitive brands
Catch the answer text, source and claim behind traffic changes so you know if a brand problem is causing a performance problem.
Know what moved—not just that one score changed
CiteTrack separates the metrics buyers often confuse and compares only prompt-and-service combinations present at both dates.
Brand presence
The percentage of comparable prompt and AI-service results where the brand appeared, whether cited or merely mentioned.
Citation rate
The percentage of comparable results where an answer included a citation to your site. Presence without a link remains visible as a different outcome.
Average share of voice
Your average citation share against the competitors you track, calculated across comparable prompt-and-service coverage.
Three layers, one plugin
AI analytics is three measurements GA4 cannot give you. Each is a feature in its own right; together they are the whole picture.
AI crawler analytics
Which AI bots fetch your pages, how often, and whether each is the real bot or a spoof. The read GA4 cannot give you.

Learn more ?Why GA4 cannot show you this
- AI crawlers run no JavaScript: GA4 fires a browser script the bots never trigger, so every GPTBot or ClaudeBot visit is invisible to it.
- AI referrals lose their referrer: visits from AI answers land in dark traffic and get filed as “direct.”
- Citations happen off-site: the moment an engine quotes you is inside the answer, not on your page, so only an engine query can capture it.
- Identity needs evidence: a claimed user-agent can inflate a naive bot count; CiteTrack uses official network verification where the operator provides it and keeps unverified names separate.

What is a WordPress AI analytics plugin?
A plugin that measures how AI interacts with your site across three layers: which AI crawlers fetch your pages, whether AI answer engines cite you, and how much traffic and revenue AI drives. GA4 misses all of it because AI crawlers do not run JavaScript and AI referrals often have no referrer. CiteTrack AI covers all three inside WordPress.
Why can GA4 not track AI?
GA4 runs a browser script that AI crawlers never execute, so they are invisible to it, and AI referrals usually arrive without a referrer, so they look like direct traffic. AI analytics reads server-side requests and the AI answers directly instead.
Is AI analytics the same as AI crawler analytics?
Crawler analytics is one layer of it, which AI bots reach you. AI analytics is the umbrella that adds the two harder layers: whether the engines cite you, and what the resulting visits earn. CiteTrack ships all three.
Does it replace my SEO plugin?
No. CiteTrack is the AI analytics layer, not a general SEO plugin. Keep Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO or SEOPress for on-page SEO and add CiteTrack for the AI side. They run together without conflict.
Where is my data stored?
CiteTrack is local-first: analytics, prompts, citation results, tasks and reports live in your WordPress database. User-triggered AI checks contact the AI provider you configure, Google integrations contact Google when connected, and licensing/update checks contact CiteTrack.
