See whether Claude cites you
Your analytics go blind the moment Claude recommends a brand. CiteTrack AI asks Claude your real buyer questions on a schedule and records whether you were cited, merely mentioned, or left out while a competitor was named instead. It is the Claude view of the citation tracking the product is named for.

What a Claude tracker shows you
- Cited, mentioned or absent: for every prompt, whether Claude linked you, named you without a link, or left you out.
- Who is cited instead: the competitor or third-party page Claude chose, so you know exactly who to displace.
- Position and winning URL: which of your pages earned the citation and where it ranked among the sources.
- Share of voice: your slice of Claude citations versus named rivals, plotted over time.
- Crawler identity context: the Claude bots (ClaudeBot and Claude-User) reaching you, with official network verification where the operator provides it.
How CiteTrack tracks Claude
Claude favours well-structured, trustworthy sources and is careful about what it endorses. ClaudeBot handles indexing, and Claude-User fetches a page live when a user shares or asks about a URL.
You add the buyer questions you want to win and the competitors you care about, then bring your own Anthropic API key. On the schedule you set, CiteTrack sends each prompt to Claude, reads the answer and its cited sources, and records exactly where you stand, cited, mentioned or absent, the position, the winning URL and the sentiment. Because the key is yours, you pay Anthropic directly at cost and every result stays in your own WordPress database.
Why Claude needs its own view
Claude is the most conservative of the major assistants about naming a source, so a Claude citation is a strong signal that your fundamentals are solid: a clean answer, clear structure and a credible site. If Claude cites you and a rival, you are in good company; if it cites only the rival, that gap is worth studying closely.

Learn more ?Claude tracking FAQ
Can you really tell if Claude cites my website?
Yes. CiteTrack sends your target prompts to Claude through its API with search grounding on, then checks whether your domain is in the cited sources (cited), named without a link (mentioned), or absent. It records the position and the exact URL that won.
Do I need an API key to track Claude?
Yes. CiteTrack uses your own Anthropic API key, so you query Claude at cost with no markup and keep prompts, results and the key on your own site. It is a one-time paste during setup.
How is this different from a crawler log?
A crawler log proves a Claude bot (ClaudeBot and Claude-User) fetched your page. It does not prove Claude then cited you in an answer. CiteTrack tracks both the crawl and the citation, so you measure the outcome, not a guess.
How often should it check, and what does it cost?
Weekly is a sensible default. Claude citation data is non-deterministic, so read the trend across many runs rather than a single result. Cost is whatever Anthropic charges for the calls, typically a few dollars a month for a normal prompt set, since there is no platform fee on top.
Does it track the other AI engines too?
Yes. CiteTrack tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude together inside WordPress. This page is the Claude view; the AI citation tracking feature shows the combined picture.
Where is my data stored?
CiteTrack is local-first. Prompts, results and API keys stay in your WordPress database. Citation checks contact the AI provider you configure with your own key; CiteTrack does not host your citation dashboard.
