Connecting Google lets CiteTrack show live index status from Search Console and push your recovered AI traffic into GA4. It is a one-click Google sign-in, no API keys, no Google Cloud project.
Connect
- Go to CiteTrack AI → Integrations (or step 2 of the Setup wizard) and click Connect with Google.
- Sign in with the Google account that owns your Search Console property and approve access. You are returned to CiteTrack with the connection live.
- The Integrations screen shows which Google account and property are connected.
What it unlocks
- Search Console, index coverage for your pages, so the “indexed but not cited” report is accurate.
- GA4 push: CiteTrack sends an
ai_referralevent to GA4 so your AI traffic shows in Google’s own reports, not just CiteTrack.
Switch account or disconnect
On Integrations, click Disconnect to remove the connection (tokens are deleted from your site), then reconnect with a different Google account if needed. Your stored analytics are untouched.
Your tokens stay on your own site: CiteTrack only brokers the secure sign-in. If sign-in fails, allow pop-ups/redirects to citetrackai.com, and make sure your Search Console property matches your site URL exactly (http vs https, www vs non-www).
