Why report CSV exports neutralize spreadsheet formulas

CSV files can be risky when user-authored text begins with characters that spreadsheet apps treat as formulas. CiteTrack neutralizes those values before export so an administrator can open a report CSV more safely.

What gets protected

User-authored report cells such as notes, decisions, source comments or custom text are quoted and formula-prefixed values are neutralized. Normal numbers, dates and CiteTrack-generated metrics still export as expected.

Why this matters

If someone pasted a value that begins with =, +, - or @, a spreadsheet might try to run it as a formula. CiteTrack treats that as text in exported reports.
