Citation Tracking

The “indexed but not cited” report

This report finds your biggest, fastest wins: pages AI crawlers read heavily but never cite. The content is already being fetched and understood, it just isn’t being recommended yet, so a small answerability fix often flips it.

Find it

  1. Go to CiteTrack AI → Citations → Indexed but not cited.
  2. The table joins your most-crawled URLs against pages that win citations and surfaces the ones with high crawl volume but zero citations.
  3. Sort by crawl volume to work the highest-traffic opportunities first.

Act on it

For each URL, open Optimize and apply the AEO/GEO fixes, add a concise answer capsule near the top, turn question headings into FAQ schema, and tighten the page so the answer is liftable in a sentence or two. Then add or refresh a tracked prompt that targets that page’s question and re-check after the next run. Pages move from “crawled but ignored” to “cited” surprisingly fast once the answer is easy to extract.
