Add internal links and image descriptions safely

Internal links

Every ready-to-insert suggestion identifies the exact source page, target page, anchor words and surrounding readable text. CiteTrack recognizes equivalent absolute and site-relative links so it does not add a duplicate.

The link is inserted only when those exact words still occur naturally in the saved content. Scripts, styles, code samples, form controls, existing links and shortcode attributes are excluded. The target and server-generated anchor are revalidated at click time.

Image descriptions

A missing-image-description task lists the specific images on the page. For each one, save a reviewed description or mark it decorative. Useful Media Library captions and titles can be editable starting points; generic filenames are not treated as finished descriptions.

Approved descriptions are written to the Media Library and to matching saved-page image tags that still have no alt text. Existing descriptions are preserved, while theme, component and externally controlled images remain manual.

Undo boundaries

Link Undo removes only the exact link CiteTrack inserted. Image Undo restores the exact prior page markup and attachment value. Both stop when later editor changes mean the stored boundary no longer matches.
