Refresh website checks and the task list

Website-improvement tasks are built from the latest rendered-page checks. Use Refresh website checks when the queue is empty, looks stale or needs to reflect recent site edits.

Run the refresh

  1. Open CiteTrack AI → Tasks.
  2. Find the Website checks status panel.
  3. Click Refresh website checks.
  4. Stay on the page to watch the accessible progress bar, or leave; the scan continues in the background.
  5. When it says Refresh complete, choose Show updated tasks.

How the status changes

The panel moves through scanning, finishing and completed states. It shows pages checked, pages remaining and the latest completed time. A temporary polling problem shows a reconnecting state rather than pretending the job stopped.

Search Console status

The same panel shows whether Search Console is not connected, connected and ready, or recently working. Search Console adds real page queries and performance context to supported metadata decisions; the page scan itself still runs without it.

A refresh rebuilds the task queue from current evidence. Resolved failures close, new failures appear, and recurring failures can reopen with their history preserved.
