Attribution & Revenue

Set up revenue attribution (Woo / EDD)

CiteTrack AI Insights showing the AI funnel from crawls to citations to visits to leads and AI-attributed revenue
The AI funnel ties crawls and citations through to leads, orders and attributed revenue.

Revenue attribution ties real money back to AI. When a visitor arrives from an AI assistant and later buys, CiteTrack links the order to that AI-sourced session and records its value, once per order.

Ecommerce (WooCommerce / EDD)

It activates automatically when WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads is active, no configuration. On order completion CiteTrack attributes the sale if the buyer’s session was AI-sourced. Just keep the Attribution module enabled under Settings.

Lead / service sites (no store)

No shop? Use lead capture instead. CiteTrack records a conversion when a Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms or WPForms form is submitted during an AI-referred session. Set a value per lead under Settings (citetrack_lead_value) so the funnel can show pipeline value.

Verify it’s working

  1. Open the page from an AI assistant link (or with a known AI referrer) so a session is tagged.
  2. Complete a test order or submit a form.
  3. Check CiteTrack AI → Insights → Funnel, the conversion should appear under AI-attributed.
If an order isn’t attributed, the buyer’s AI session likely expired or they bought on a different device/browser, attribution only links conversions to a live, cookied AI session.
