Automatic and manual scope
The weekly automatic scan checks saved internal page links. Manual scans can optionally include links to other websites. Outside-link checking is opt-in because access blocks, rate limits and temporary remote failures need careful interpretation.
How the scan runs
The scan uses bounded page, link, batch, time and finding limits and continues through WP-Cron. Live progress shows pages and links checked. Save or scheduling errors appear as visible failures rather than an indefinitely running state.
What creates a task
Verified broken destinations and redirect hops create deduplicated Technical health tasks for the affected page and destination. Timeouts, access-denied responses, rate limits and temporary server failures remain unverified evidence for review.
