At the top of Optimize, Where SEO improvements will be saved shows the current owner for meta descriptions, SEO titles and canonical URLs.
Supported destinations
CiteTrack supports Yoast, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework, Slim SEO, IndexPulse SEO Lite and custom integrations that register a durable metadata destination.
Destination states
- Ready: one writable owner is proven and the exact provider field is shown.
- Read-only: the active plugin generates the value but exposes no separate safe field.
- Conflict: multiple SEO plugins appear to own the tag; choose one before applying.
- No verified owner: the proposal remains editable and copyable for manual use.
Meta-description evidence
A task is created when no description is detected, not simply because an existing description misses a generic character target. The proposal uses the WordPress title, excerpt, page text, focus phrase and up to ten real Search Console queries when available. Search Console also supplies a current-versus-previous 28-day comparison; GA4 sessions and views are labelled separately as post-click context.
SEO title versus page heading
The SEO title is treated separately from the visible WordPress title and H1. Applying a reviewed SEO title updates the supported SEO provider field without renaming the page or changing navigation text.
